What do I bring to my first appointment?
Please plan to arrive about 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
Please bring your driver’s license and insurance card, as well as any pre-authorizations or referrals from your insurance.
Intake paperwork can be found on the website under new client forms. Filling out this information prior to your first appointment allows you more time in your appointment and less time in our waiting room.
What happens if I don't like my therapist?
Had your first appointment and you didn’t vibe? That’s okay. We welcome you to call our office and we can work together to find the right fit for you. Your relationship with your therapist is about your well-being, and Triad Counseling wants you to be satisfied with your experience. You may also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss any issues that you may have further.
How do I make an appointment with the psychiatrist?
Our staff psychiatrist, Dr. Johnson, is available for any patient in need of psychiatry services. This need is based upon the referral from the counselor. Appointments with Dr. Johnson cannot be made without therapist referral or authorization. Most of our counselors require at least 3 sessions before making any kind of determination regarding psychiatric services, but this is determined on a case-by-case basis.
Do you see children?
Many of our counselors are trained and specialized to work with children, some as young as 5-years-old. If you would like to review our staff to see if your preferred counselor works with children, you may view our therapists here.
You may also email us for additional information on the services that we offer for children at email@example.com
Do you take my insurance?
We accept most insurance plans at Triad Counseling. To see if your insurance is accepted in our office, please visit our page on insurance information.
I need a refill on my prescription.
Dr. Johnson does not allow for refills on prescription over the phone. If you are running low on a prescription, it is the responsibility of the patient to schedule an appointment with the doctor.
If you need to schedule an appointment, please call our office at 248.625.2970
